--------------------------------------------------- Offshore Operations Technicians (Summarised Position Description only) Location: Offshore Job Purpose - The primary responsibility of this role includes the operation and monitoring of process operations and associated equipment, preparing equipment for maintenance and ensuring the existence of safe work practices.
- Regular Reporting of operational conditions & safety events.
Key Responsibilities - Prioritising daily tasks, including liaising with Instrumentation/Electrical & Mechanical Technicians for immediate repairs permits, troubleshooting issues and highlighting potential and existing problem areas.
- Working a 12 hour rotating shift roster days/nights.
- Attending regular meetings and discussing best practices for procedural operations and procedure enhancement.
- Area surveillance & condition monitoring.
- Equipment checking and situation management.
- Applying training/coaching knowledge to everyday scenarios.
- Completing clear and concise documentation of daily routine maintenance operations.
- Ensuring platform work site is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Key Requirements - Technical or trade certificates supporting your application will be well regarded.
- A high degree of mechanical aptitude and sound analytical capabilities.
- Experience working with machinery and equipment such as electrical pumps, reciprocating compressors & turbines, valves, gearboxes will be well regarded.
- Demonstrate total commitment with key behaviours governing safety, products quality, business and personal ethics and controls.
- Ability to follow strict safety and procedural guidelines is critical.
- Experience in observation, planning and task prioritisation is important.
- Strong communications skills.
- As this role is based offshore, the ability to successfully complete daily tasks through challenging work conditions, adverse weather and confined spaces is important.
- A valid residency permit allowing you to live and work in Australia is required.
