Currently one of the largest domestic gas developments on the eastern seaboard, the Kipper Tuna Turrum Project (KTT) represents around $3 billion investment in Victoria’s energy future.
The project will develop cleaner-burning natural gas supplies to help secure Victoria’s energy future, and holds enough energy to power a city of a million people for 35 years.
Over 3000 people will be involved in the project, and Australian labour, materials and equipment will make up almost 50 percent of the project spend.

In 2009 we proudly celebrated 40 years of oil and gas production from our Bass Strait operations. Since the first well was drilled in Bass Strait, almost 4 billion barrels of crude oil and 7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas have been produced.

ExxonMobil operates 21 offshore platforms and installations in Bass Strait which feed a network of 600km of underwater pipelines and keep the oil and gas flowing, 24 hours a day.

Longford, with its three gas plants and one crude oil stabilisation plant, is one of the most important industrial facilities in Australia.

Long Island Point carries out the final stage in the processing of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) and stores crude oil prior to distribution to refineries in Australia and overseas.

The Barry Beach Marine Terminal is the main supply depot and a critical lifeline for the offshore oil and gas operations in Bass Strait.

Gippsland Gas Marketing is responsible for the sale of ExxonMobil's substantial Gippsland Basin gas reserves, forming a key link between the production operations and the customer. In recent years, Gippsland Gas Marketing has successfully expanded Gippsland gas supplies into New South Wales, South Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania.
