Recognising 25 years of support to Frankston Hospital

On 14 November, Kim Hahn, Long Island Point Plant Manager and Nathan Pastor, from our Medical and Occupational Health team attended the Frankston Hospital to celebrate 25 years of partnership.

ExxonMobil, and Esso through the Gippsland Basin Joint Venture, have been supporting the Frankston Hospital, providing funding for emergency department equipment since 1992. Over the years, we have funded over $160,000 worth of essential, life saving equipment.

This year, ExxonMobil supported the purchase of an automated defibrillator that enables staff to respond quickly if a patient goes into sudden cardiac arrest giving them a better chance of having a successful resuscitation.

Peninsula Health Acting Chief Executive David Anderson thanked Esso for supporting the hospital.

“For the last 25 years, Esso has made a significant contribution to Peninsula Health,” explained Mr Anderson.

“Through ongoing donations we have been able to purchase the very latest equipment our doctors and nurses need to save lives and provide the best of care to our community.”

The site visit to the hospital was a good opportunity to see first-hand the various equipment that has been funded and hear how important it has been to the hospital.

“We’re proud of our longstanding partnership with the Frankston Hospital which provides a vital service to the community,” said Kim.

“Building lasting relationships with our community is an essential element of our business and funding this lifesaving equipment is a small way we can give back to the communities that provide support for our operations and our employees,” she added.
