Last week, over 30 ExxonMobil staff members attended the 2022 Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) Oil and Gas Conference in Brisbane. The annual event saw over 120 companies come together to discuss the latest ideas, innovations and developments across the industry.

ExxonMobil was one of two principal partners for the event, which was held over four days.

Dylan Pugh, ExxonMobil Australia Lead Country Manager, participated in a plenary session for the conference, titled ‘Positive Energy for a Changing World’, which focused on the oil and gas sector's central role in Australia’s future.

Along with Woodside CEO, Meg O'Neill, Chevron Australia's Kory Judd and the State Gas Head of Corporate and Commercial Lucy Snelling, Dylan tackled current industry issues including Australia’s economic recovery following COVID-19, the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, net-zero emission targets and energy security.

“I was delighted to spend the week sharing how ExxonMobil will continue to supply essential energy across Australia while creating sustainable solutions that improve quality of life and meet Australia's evolving needs,” said ExxonMobil Lead Country Manager, Dylan Pugh.

ExxonMobil was honoured to have Lucas Turner, Grant Shaw, Steven Spencer, Daniel Chigwidden and John Kubik present to the delegates across an array of compelling industry-relevant topics. Michael Ashman and Grant Gibbs, Louise Mayboehm and Natalie Debenham had their Technical and Business Posters on display week-long in the Exhibition Hall.

“I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our staff who presented their case studies and those who showcased their technical posters,” Dylan continued. “An amazing effort by all!”
