On Thursday 19 May, staff at the Docklands, Longford and Sale offices held small gatherings for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, a fundraiser supporting the Cancer Council.

The events provided an opportunity for colleagues to get together, share some delicious morning tea fare and raise funds for a worthy cause.

Staff contributed special homemade and store bought treats such as cupcakes, scones and slices.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an event that is held across Australia by individuals as well as organisations. They host morning teas in the months of May and June to raise much needed funds to support people impacted by cancer.

Every dollar donated makes a big difference in the lives of people affected by cancer. All funds raised go towards research, supporting families dealing with illness and prevention through world-leading awareness campaigns.

The total amount raised from the three offices was $1430, a great effort considering many people were absent, participating in the APPEA Conference in Brisbane at the time.

ABLE Chair Renee Ellul said, “This is an important cause and I’m thrilled that the Docklands, Longford and Sale teams have put on events to support it.”

“It’s great that staff are getting involved with our fundraising activities and supporting the community in any way we can.”
