The team at Yarraville Terminal have provided much-needed funds via its community contributions program to Gateway Community Services.

Driving community warmth

Gateway Community Services provides a range of programs to support local people in need of social and economic assistance. This contribution has allowed the community group to fund the purchase of new high-visibility coats for their drivers.

“Gateway’s drivers collect people who attend their activities and services. These high-visibility coats and jackets will enable the drivers can be easily seen while collecting some of our immobile members of the community,” explained Community Relations Adviser Nikki Calcraft.

Yarraville Terminal Manager Andrew McCormack said the terminal was pleased to support the health and safety initiatives of local community groups such as Gateway Community Services.

“Just as we are firmly committed to safely supplying the energy Australia needs, we are committed to supporting health and safety in the wider community. This initiative will help keep volunteers safe while they carry out this important community service,” he said.
