Altona Refinery: how we fuel Victoria

Altona Refinery is a fuels refinery which produces three primary products for the Australian domestic market: petrol, diesel and jet fuel. Crude oil goes through a variety of processes, called ‘refining’ before it can be sold as a finished product.

Follow the progression of crude oil once it arrives at Altona Refinery by pipeline through the entire refining and supply process at our facilities in Melbourne’s west.

We have a long and proud history of operating in Australia. Learn more about our origins as we celebrate 70 years of Altona Refinery operations in 2019.
