Providing comfort in the community

One of the community groups that the Longford Plants team has developed a close bond with is Ashleigh House, an aged care facility based at the Sale Elderly Citizens Village in Sale. Ashleigh House specifically supports residents who need a higher level of daily support and our corporate contributions program has donated of essential medical care equipment to Ashleigh House over a number of years.
Most recently, we have assisted Ashleigh House with the purchase of a massage chair and two electric care beds for their residents. These items may seem like standard items for an aged care facility, but for a community-based, not-for-profit organisation such as Ashleigh House, securing these costly items within their own budget can be difficult.
Longford Plants Manager David Anderson visited Ashleigh House to visit with residents and see the new equipment.
“Being a good neighbour is lending a helping hand wherever and whenever you can and our support for Ashleigh House is just a small representation of that philosophy.
“We pride ourselves on being a good corporate citizen in the Gippsland community. We hope that the residents and staff at Ashleigh House can make good use of their new equipment and we are glad to be continuing our association with this fantastic organisation,” he said.
