In order to share learnings and broaden knowledge around community and workforce safety, Longford Plants Manager David Anderson took part in a Victoria Police local safety briefing in Gippsland this month.

David said the safety briefing, attended by around 100 senior police and other local industry contacts, provided an opportunity to give Esso Australia’s perspective on safety to an external audience.

“Victoria Police were aware of our extensive safety regulations and how seriously we take safety in everything that we do. The attendees were interested to learn more about our key safety systems and how they shape our day-to-day approach to safety.

“Participating in events such as these enables us to highlight our safety efforts to wide audience, and hopefully ensure that our message of ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’ reaches the entire community,” he said.
