Community the heart of Gippsland activity

The team at Longford Plants and the Sale office have furthered their focus on the community, launching a community newsletter, holding a neighbour information session and hosting their annual community and stakeholder dinner all in the space of one week!

The new community newsletter is delivered to homes near Longford Plants and also added as an insert into the widely-read local newspaper, the Gippsland Times.

In addition, the Longford Plants neighbour meeting and the annual community dinner were attended by key stakeholders eager to hear more about the long-term plans and activities of the business in Gippsland.

Longford Plants Manager David Anderson said Esso recognises the importance of collaborating with our community in everything that we do.

“The community bulletin, coupled with regular community meetings, is aimed at improving our communications with our neighbours. We want to try and demystify what we do at the Plants and open new avenues for people to contact us with any questions or concerns they may have.

“It’s an exciting time right now as we pursue a range of opportunities to ensure the future of our operations in the increasingly competitive gas market. There has been a lot of activity in recent months and we have made great progress high-grading our facilities through project work and major maintenance upgrades,” he said.
