The ‘Top 100 Future Leaders’ competition aims to finding the most promising future leaders graduating from Australian universities in 2019. Ben was invited to represent the University of Southern Queensland where he is completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).

Ben will now represent his university at an event in Sydney in February, as well as feature in an article in the Australian Financial Review highlighting the backgrounds and views on leadership from the finalists. He said he was thrilled to have been successful in the competition.

“I possess a keen interest in the science behind what makes our world tick along with an interest in the psychology of employers and employees’ in business structures. I believe there are great efficiencies to be gained by businesses by incorporating sound business practices that are built around understanding and obliging employees true needs.

“I would like to thank the leadership team at LIP for their ongoing support over the last six years while I have been studying.  Without their support and the company’s Education Assistance Program, I would not have been in a position to undertake these studies,” he said.

LIP Plant Manager David McCord said the team at LIP were very proud of Ben’s achievements.

“It’s wonderful to see Ben’s efforts recognised in such a public forum,” he said.
