Environment: a focus for Mornington schools

The Gippsland Basin Joint Venture (GBJV) has again supported Mornington Peninsula Schools Environment Week in 2019.
The annual event is taking place from 25 – 28 March and involves a week of environmental awareness activities designed to instill in children a sense that they can make a difference to a sustainable future. In 2019, the GBJV provided support for the Australian Wildlife Lectures held at the event.

Esso Australia Community Relations Adviser Angela Jones said the GBJV is an active contributor to a range of organisations that conduct important environmental research, conservation and education programs.

“For more than 30 years, Mornington Peninsula Schools Environment Week has been one of the longest running environmental events for primary school children in Victoria. The GBJV has supported the event for almost a decade now.

“We are proud to support such a positive contribution to local environmental awareness near our Long Island Point Plant operations through our ongoing support for this program,” she said.
