Howzat for a great celebration!

Esso Australia would like to thank everyone who went along to the Esso Night Under the Stars concert, helping us celebrate the 50th anniversary of oil and gas production from our Gippsland operations.

Despite forecast storms and torrential rain, which meant the concert had to be moved from Saturday 2 to Sunday 3 November 2019, the community came out in droves, with almost 2,000 people attending the free event.

For half a century our Gippsland Operations have been a nation-building endeavor providing energy to help fuel Australia’s economic growth.

“We could not have achieved so much without the on-going support of our community,” said Esso’s Community Relations Manager Jarrod Byham.

“This free concert is our way of saying thank you to the people of Gippsland.

“I also want to thank the Wellington Shire Council for organising this fantastic concert and the performers, particularly Daryl Braithwaite, whose career has spanned almost as many years as our Gippsland operations.”

Jarrod said that the company is committed to making a positive contribution to the Gippsland community, whether it’s through helping local community groups and projects, supporting the education of local students, or providing free community events.
