Esso continues support for Central Gippsland Health Service

Longford Plants Manager Kartik Garg visits Central Gippsland Health Service to see how funding from Esso Australia is helping them look after locals.
Esso Australia Longford Plants Manager, Kartik Garg, recently visited Central Gippsland Health Service to learn more about how they’re delivering important health services to the local community and surrounds, with the help of funding from Esso Australia.

“Esso Australia has supported Central Gippsland Health Service for more than 30 years,” said Kartik.

“Earlier this year the health services requested support to help them meet some increased challenges they were facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“With COVID-19 restrictions now easing, it was terrific to be able to meet with them and see how our support is helping them to deliver their important services,” he said.

Central Gippsland Health Service Chief Executive Officer, Dr Frank Evans said that Esso Australia’s support over the last three decades has enabled Central Gippsland Health Service to purchase a significant amount of vital equipment to support their work.

“This year, a donation from Esso has helped us purchase a portable vaccine fridge to assist in the efficient and safe delivery of vaccines. This fridge will significantly increase delivery time to our five campuses and within the community,” said Frank.

“We have also purchased additional procedure trolleys for the Emergency Department and the funding has contributed to the construction of a purpose-built freezer for our Meals on Wheels program.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to Esso Australia for recognising just how critically important our health services are,” he said.

During the visit, Longford Plants Manager Kartik Garg, said he was pleased Esso Australia was able to continue its longstanding relationship with Central Gippsland Health Service.

“This year’s events, especially here in Victoria, have highlighted just how crucial it is to have access to quality health care and community services, wherever you’re located,” said Kartik.

“I am really proud of the support we are able to provide to Central Gippsland Health Service to help them carry out their important work, supporting the health and well-being of our Gippsland communities.”
