ExxonMobil Australia supports World Environment Day Planting Challenge

ExxonMobil Australia recently supported Conservation Volunteers Australia’s World Environment Day Planting Challenge.
The largest in-person corporate planting event on the Conservation Volunteers Australia calendar was held on 4 June to celebrate World Environment Day.
As part of the challenge, teams of up to 10 competed to plant the most trees and native vegetation in locations across Australia and New Zealand.
As well as supporting Conservation Volunteers with funding to run the event, ExxonMobil Australia had a team participate in the tree-planting event in Perth. Another team is set to participate in a tree-planting event at Altona Coastal Park once COVID19 restrictions have eased in Melbourne.
“ExxonMobil Australia was proud to support Conservation Volunteers to engage with communities, businesses and partners around the country for a successful World Environment Day Challenge,” said Margaret Rogacki, ExxonMobil Australia LNG General Manager.
“The ExxonMobil team in Perth were eager to roll up our sleeves and spend a sunny World Environment Day planting trees in the Bibra Lake Reserve.”
Overall, 119 corporate groups planted a grand total of 6,465 trees during the day, in locations across Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
Conservation Volunteers Australia will announce the team who plant the most trees around the country as the national winner once the Melbourne events are completed.
