ExxonMobil Australia community survey

Over the coming weeks, ExxonMobil Australia will survey community members in neighbourhoods close to our operations at Longford, Long Island Point, Altona and Yarraville.

ExxonMobil is committed to working cooperatively and openly with stakeholders and communities where we operate. The survey, undertaken every three years, aims to identify community awareness and perceptions of our operations. These insights help us to better understand and respond to local issues or concerns.

The 2017 survey will involve random and confidential telephone interviews with around 250 community members living near each of our four main operating sites – around 1,000 neighbours in total. It will be conducted on our behalf by newfocus, an independent and national market and social research company.

The community survey is just one of many ways ExxonMobil Australia communicates with our neighbours. Other key initiatives include regular open community briefings at Altona Refinery and Yarraville Terminal, as well as Longford neighbour meetings and stakeholder briefings about our operations.
