Supporting Mornington Peninsula Schools Environment Week

The Gippsland Basin Joint Venture (GBJV) has supported Mornington Peninsula Schools Environment Week again in 2018.

The event, held at Briars Historic Park in Mount Martha, continues to grow with more than 2,000 local kindergarten and primary school-aged children taking part in 2018. Building on our previous support for the annual event, this year’s GBJV contribution supported the attendance of the Southern Ocean Education mobile provider of marine education.

Occurring annually for more than 30 years, Mornington Peninsula Schools Environment Week is one of the longest running environmental events for primary school children in Victoria.

ExxonMobil Australia Public & Government Affairs Analyst Suzy McNaughton attended the program launch to witness all the action.

“It was great to see the students participating in all the activities on offer. It’s important for our business to make a positive contribution to local environmental awareness through support for programs such as these,” she said.
