Mobil is excited to announce that its relationship with APCO Service Stations, a regional service station franchising company, has been extended for a further two years.

APCO is an Australian service station franchising company, wholly owned by the Anderson family of Geelong, Victoria. There are approximately 27 APCO branded service stations spread across regional Victoria and New South Wales.

The extended agreement was made possible by Mobil’s recent investments in fuel supply infrastructure, which have increased efficiency at our Melbourne terminals.

Vinesh Naicker, Manager Reseller Business Development, said, “Investments, like the new loading bay we are building at Yarraville terminal, give our customers confidence that their trucks will be able to quickly fill up and get back out on the road, delivering fuel to service stations.”

Mobil’s relationship with the Anderson family spans decades with founder, Ron Anderson, starting out as a regional representative in Seymour with Mobil’s predecessor, the Vacuum Oil Company, in 1962. He then went on to set up the first APCO store in 1980, with the family owned and operated business growing from there.

Today, APCO is managed by Ron’s two sons, who have ensured that the business retains its family and community focus, often supporting initiatives in the local communities where they are located.

The APCO brand has grown strongly over the years, with their Wangaratta service station recognised as the Asia-Pacific Convenience Store of the Year by the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) in March 2022.

Vinesh said, “We’re thrilled to continue our association with APCO and we look forward to working closely with the team to supply quality fuel to customers in regional Victoria and New South Wales.”
