Mobil Australia has partnered with the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF), Food and Fibre Gippsland and Fruit Growers Victoria (FGV) to secure the supply of 56,000 Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) which are on their way to farmers state-wide.

With the latest changes to COVID-19 close contact isolation requirements, access to have been made RATs near-impossible. Thanks to the initiative, in just two weeks the tests have landed in Sydney, been driven down to Victoria in vehicles powered by Mobil fuel and distributed out to 24 towns across the State.

“Australian farmers are the backbone of our country, persevering through hardship as they continue to experience some of the toughest conditions year in, year out,” said Aaron Incoll, Commercial Vehicle Card, Sales Manager ExxonMobil Australia.

“The industry has been pleading for access to RATs for weeks now so they can continue to meet Australian’s needs.”

“We’re pleased to be able to provide them with tests so they can continue to fuel Australian’s with the finest produce,” he continued.

Emma Germano, Victorian Farmers Federation President, expressed her appreciation for the donation of fuel from the Mobil team.

“We’re thankful for Mobil’s assistance in delivering RATs across Victoria,” she said.

“It’s been a hard-hitting few years for our farmers and we’re glad we can relieve them of some of their stress with access to RATs to ensure they can continue their work safely,” she continued.
