Mobil’s South Asia Pacific Fuels Operations Manager, John Bourke, recently attended the Western Region Councils Bi-Annual Forum hosted by the Hobsons Bay City Council.

It is an important event for councils in Melbourne’s west to come together in the spirit of collaboration and connection.

As a key contributor to the local economy over the last 70 years, Mobil was invited to share an update about the business before an audience of mayors and councillors from across the western region.

The Honourable Melissa Horne MP, member for Williamstown, also attended the event as a guest speaker.

The event, which is hosted by all the councils on rotation, provided an opportunity for councillors and mayors from the western region to find out about the latest developments, programs and opportunities for growth in the Hobsons Bay City Council municipality.

“The Western Region Council Bi-Annual Forum was a fantastic event and a good chance to connect with councils in the areas in which Mobil operates,” John said.

“We were really thrilled to have been invited by Mayor Briffa to talk to the group about the business which will continue to play an important role as a contributor and operator in the Hobsons Bay area.”
