The Yarraville Terminal team recently celebrated the opening of Bay 10, a brand new multi-product fuel loading bay which is set to increase efficiency at the busy terminal.

The additional bay means less waiting time for our customers, who are able to load fuel onto trucks and get back onto the road to deliver their fuel to service stations more quickly.

Following the construction of new storage tanks and a jet fuel pipeline in recent years, the additional loading bay is yet another example of Mobil’s ongoing investment in strengthening our Melbourne fuel supply chain.

“As part of the Melbourne terminal, Yarraville plays an important role in our Victorian supply chain,” said Steven Flynn, Yarraville Terminal Manager.

“It’s where our customers collect fuel that is then delivered to service stations across Victoria, as well as into southern New South Wales and even parts of South Australia.

“Mobil continues to invest in our fuel supply facilities across Australia as part of our commitment to supporting Australia’s fuel security. Our investments, like the new fuel loading bay at Yarraville, ensure we can maintain the reliable supply of quality Mobil fuels that our customers need.”

Steven also praised the efforts of the project teams involved in bringing plans for the bay to fruition. “A project like this involves many teams across the Mobil business and I’d like to thank everyone who played a vital role in delivering this fantastic new bay.

“Bay 10 is a significant upgrade to the Yarraville Terminal, providing additional capacity to the load rack and giving drivers more time back in their day to deliver fuel to Victorians.”
