Esso Australia has supported the Western Port Men’s Shed to install solar panels that will power the group’s lights and power tools, significantly reducing their power bills.
Long Island Point Manager, David McCord, visited the shed before Christmas to view the new solar panels that had just been installed.
During the visit, David also handed over some safety glasses and gloves for members to use while completing their woodworking activities.
“Men’s Sheds do outstanding work to improve the health of our communities,” said David.
“Their work aligns perfectly with our own emphasis on improving health and safety as an organisation, and that’s why we are so happy to be able to support them.
“Getting involved with groups such as the Men’s Shed is also very important to our ongoing efforts to foster strong relationships with the local community,” he said.
For many years, ExxonMobil Australia has supported local Men’s Shed groups in areas close to our operations across Australia including Sale, Hobsons Bay, the Mornington Peninsula and Port Adelaide.
