Lucky Ask for Mobil winners drive away with once-in-a-lifetime prize

The grand prize winners of Mobil 1's Ask for Mobil consumer promotion were recently handed the keys to their new, limited edition HSVs at a special presentation event hosted by Mobil 1 HSV Racing drivers James Courtney and Scott Pye.

The three Grand Prize winners - Steve Williams from Victoria, Lizzie Stubbings from Queensland and Neville Roesler from South Australia - were presented with their brand new, limited edition HSVs at an exclusive lunch at the world-famous Walkinshaw Production Facility.

The consumer promotion offered Mobil lubricant customers the chance to win $250,000 worth of prizes including one of three limited edition HSV vehicles, $15,000 worth of Visa gift cards or instant Mobil 1 product.

Mobil 1 Retail Manager, Christie Torwick, said the ‘Ask for Mobil’ promotion had proved hugely popular with Mobil customers as it rewarded loyalty with the opportunity to secure top notch prizes.

“Our new and loyal customers know and trust Mobil 1 to deliver the most advanced performance benefits and is trusted by drivers to keep their engines running like new. We receive stunning brand loyalty from our consumers, and we saw this as a great opportunity to give something back to them.

“This fun, exciting promotion - offering prizes that were second to none - was hugely successful and we congratulate all our winners, especially our grand prize winners,” Ms Torwick said.

Grand prize winner and new HSV GTS Sport owner, Steve Williams, said he was thrilled to learn of his win and believes it’s a testament to his loyalty to Mobil 1 products over the last 20 years.

“Ever since I can remember, I’ve always used Mobil 1 products in my vehicles as I know I can trust them to keep my engine running smoothly and efficiently. It’s brilliant to be rewarded for years of loyalty to Mobil 1 and I’m stoked to have won this amazing grand prize.

“Picking up the keys to my very own piece of Australian automotive history is a moment I’ll treasure forever. I’m still pinching myself that I’ve actually won,” Mr Williams said.

Another grand prize winner, Neville Roesler, said he was ecstatic with his win and was looking forward to getting behind the wheel of his brand new HSV Maloo Sport and putting it through its paces.

“I’ve never won anything in my life so this feels very surreal. I’m passionate about Mobil 1 products as its oil has kept all my vehicles running like clockwork over the last two decades. When I spotted the promotion I decided to enter instantly however, I never expected to actually win! I can’t wait to drive into retirement in my brand new HSV,” Mr Roesler said.
