A new home for Williamstown Horse and Pony Club at Pegasus Paddock

The team at Altona Refinery have continued their long-term support for the Williamstown Horse and Pony Club, providing the club with a new home at Pegasus Paddock.

The site is located on Altona Refinery land at the corner of Millers and Kororoit Creek Road. ExxonMobil Australia assisted the club with the relocation set up and running costs.

Williamstown Horse and Pony Club is a not-for-profit group and one of Melbourne’s last city-based pony clubs. There are currently 11 horses that call Pegasus Paddock home.

Altona Refinery Manager Riccardo Cavallo said the refinery was pleased to be continuing its long association with the Williamstown Horse and Pony Club.

“We have enabled the Williamstown Horse and Pony Club to use our land for a number of years. Pegasus Paddock provides more suitable for accommodation for the club and their horses and it’s fantastic we have been able to contribute to the community in this way,” he said.

President of Williamstown Horse and Pony Club, Lynette Hoare, said the club was very happy in their new home.

“Having Altona Refinery as a backdrop to our club activities seems fitting, as horses were once our main form of transport and the refinery represents current modes of transportation.

“Our club is community-oriented and we are very grateful for the support ExxonMobil provides,” she said.
