Connection June 2022

Welcome to the June 2022 edition of Connection

A number of factors including the war in Ukraine, cold weather, intermittent renewable energy supplies and coal plant outages mean that the gas that usually heats our homes and hot water is being relied on more and more to generate electricity, resulting in increased demand and an intense focus on energy security and affordability in our communities and in the media.

I’m really proud of the Esso Australia team who have responded so quickly to the current energy challenges. Our people are working hard to meet current demand and deliver the energy Australia needs and we are on-track to deliver our highest annual gas production in the last five years.

We can step up to fill gas demand because we have continued to invest in bringing new gas supplies on line, and because our team of highly skilled people is dedicated to getting the most out of our facilities to reliably deliver the energy Australia needs.

I hope you enjoy reading about some of the things we’re doing to deliver the gas that Australia needs right now in this edition of Connection.
