Connection September 2022

Welcome to the September 2022 edition of Connection

In this edition of Connection, we check in with the Mobil team, who has continued to invest in delivering reliable, quality fuel to Australia almost a year since our Altona site transitioned to a fuel terminal.

Our ongoing investment in fuel storage and delivery infrastructure in Sydney and Melbourne, including additional storage tanks at Vopak’s Port Botany Terminal and a new truck-loading bay at Mobil’s Melbourne Terminal, will increase the efficiency and security of our fuel supplies in Australia’s two largest cities.

The Mobil team were also very proud to recently attend the unveiling of a new sculpture, crafted out of upcycled materials from the former Altona refinery, at its permanent place in front of the Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre art gallery in Altona. The sculpture will ensure that the legacy of the former Altona refinery and the contributions of its people to the local community and economy, will remain a part of the community for many years to come.

We also share some news from around the Pacific, with the Mobil team in Fiji celebrating 115 years of serving the Fijian community, and the Mobil Oil New Zealand team welcoming the first cargo of fuel to come in on a Long Range Vessel, reflecting the country’s new fuel supply chain.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Connection.
