Connection January 2022

Welcome to the January 2022 edition of Connection

As we begin what looks set to be yet another dynamic year, this edition of Connection celebrates the positive contribution that ExxonMobil Australia continues to make to Australia’s economy and our local communities, despite the challenges posed by the ongoing global pandemic.

Our reliable supply of Gippsland gas is powering the Australian building and construction industry, with the recent extension of a gas sales agreement with InfraBuild - a key participant and supplier in large scale nation building projects. The agreement will see us continue supplying Gippsland gas to support Australia’s building and construction industry until at least the mid-2020s, supporting local jobs and the Australian economy.

As we work to maintain our reliable supply of the energy Australia needs, we are committed to operating safely and responsibly. Over at our Long Island Point plant we have identified an alternative for managing excess ethane which will reduce the need to flare at Long Island Point in the future, improving community and environmental outcomes.

We also value being an active and engaged member of the many local Victorian communities close to our operations and, in this edition of Connection, we share some of our most recent activities with community groups across Victoria, from Gippsland to Yarraville.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Connection.
